Meet Gayle

Gayle Kemp is a retired Registered Nurse with years of experience in

patient care, hospice, and administration.

She has experienced hard-earned lessons of loving a child trapped in

addiction. And she knows the pain of estrangement with another child.

Gayle is an author writing with honesty, compassion, and unwavering

faith. She is also a publisher and founder of Vintage Lantern Media, LLC.

Her memoir, Methmerized: A Story of Love, Loss, and Surrender, is not

simply a story about substance abuse—it is a story about the families who

quietly carry its weight, the emotional toll of codependency, and the freedom

that comes through surrender.

Gayle experienced stress-induced Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (Broken Heart

Syndrome), a life-changing event that became both a warning and a turning point.

She lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with her husband, Richard, a

United States Air Force veteran, and retired US Airways employee.

They also share "Abby" their beloved dog.

Serving those who hurt has been their life’s goal.

DAILY LIGHT

Encouragement for Today

A Daily Reading Plan

One day. One reading.  A little bit of light for the journey.

Daily Prayer

Devotional / Biblical Stories

Daily Prayer is a place to pause, pray, read Scripture, and spend a few quiet moments with God. Whether you are beginning your day, walking through something difficult, or simply need a moment of peace, this resource offers daily prayers, Scripture, devotionals, and opportunities for reflection.

You don't have to have the right words or know exactly what to pray. Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply become still, open our hearts, and allow God to meet us where we are. Take a moment. Read. Reflect. Pray. And let a little light into your day.
